Decided to go for simpler icon looks for the powerups which players can pick up along the tracks as the older powerups were harder to identify from afar.

Here's a sample rocket pack powerup.

Nice. I like the fact you are balancing the graphic style of the game against the gameplay need to easily identify powerup at distance and at speed.

Looking forward to more of this :)
